My research interests focus on the diverse applications of data mining and machine learning to large and imbalanced scholarly datasets, with a focus expressly on the building of interpretable models.

Antonio received a DSc. degree in Computer Science from the Federal University of ABC and a MSc. degree in Computer Science from the Federal University of Maranhão.

Since 2014 he has been an professor at the Department of Informatics (DEINF) of the UFMA.
